Chung Sin Wa focuses on depicting nocturnal landscape drawing, painting, and printmaking which articulate scenes, moments and emotions that occur at night. Utilising diverse materials, Sin Wa creates texture to express memorable and intimate experiences.

 

She believes that all existence in the world must be accompanied with pain. Hiding ones pain does not mean that it does not exist. Pain needs to be faced with honesty. The life cycle of losing and being hurt is unavoidable. It is uneasy to let go of things that are important to us, yet we always end up in the cycle of possession and loss. Sin Wa associates the struggle to break free from pain with the process of creating art.
